Fair questions
Do I actually own the site?
Yes. The domain gets registered in your name with your card, not mine, and the site belongs to you. If you ever want to walk away, I hand over the files and transfer the domain. No hostage situations — that's how a lot of this industry works and it's the reason people are suspicious of web guys.
What happens if I stop the care plan?
Your site keeps working. You'd take over hosting, which runs a few dollars a month, and I'll walk you through moving it or point you to someone who can. Cancel anytime means anytime — there's no contract to get out of.
Do I need to know anything technical?
No. You send me photos, prices, and hours, and I handle everything else. When something needs to change, you text me. That's the whole job on your end.
I already have a Facebook page. Isn't that enough?
It helps, but you don't own it and you can't control what shows up next to it. When someone searches for your kind of business nearby, Google shows a map with websites attached — a Facebook page alone often doesn't make that list. A site and a Google listing work together, and you keep the Facebook page either way.
How long until it's live?
About a week for a one-page site, two for a bigger one. Most of that is waiting on photos and prices from you. The mockup you see before paying gets built in a couple of days.
Why should I trust a small operation over a big agency?
Because you'll have my cell number and I'm local. An agency will hand you a ticket portal and a junior account manager. I'd rather you be able to text me on a Saturday when your hours change for a holiday.
